On the initiative of students of the Department of Mathematics (Kyiv Academic University) was born the idea to host again our Data Science School, which we held for the first time in 2018. First attempt in 2020 was successful, so now we want to make it regular.
The fields "Data Science", "Big Data", "Machine Learning" are increasingly attracting the attention of student youth, especially given that Ukrainian IT companies are well known around the world and the IT business in Ukraine is constantly evolving. Given the relevance of this topic we want to invite as lecturers the most experienced representatives of both the scientific world and commercial companies and especially representatives of the Ukrainian scientific diaspora.
What will you learn on KAU DSS? The school will give an opportunity to know more about Data Science and Machine Learning practical applications and to get acquainted with the main tasks and peculiarities of work in these sciences, to get a general picture of the methods used in these sciences and practical skills of their application. There are courses in other disciplines that make extensive use of Data Science methods. During these courses, students will have the opportunity to see how Data Science methods are used in other sciences and to learn about their particular uses.
School format Lecture cycles in data science, as well as practical training are waiting for you. The number of participates for practical training is limited up to 20.
We would like everyone to be invited to take part in the KAU DSS-2021! The School will be held as the series of events on the weekends during February and March'2021.
