I currently serve as a Principal Technical Account Manager at Clever where I provide technical consultation and project management for Clever’s largest and most strategic school district and enterprise application partners. I drive proactive initiatives that lead to more successful implementations, improve customer satisfaction, and drive down support ticket volume. I serve as a bridge between the district and application partners and our Success, Enterprise Support, Product, and Engineering teams, ensuring that my accounts have the best experience with Clever and that we stay true to our mission of unlocking new ways to learn for all students.
CERTIFICATIONS
I completed for my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in August 2019. I enjoy the challenge that continued study provides as I increase my subject matter expertise and bring the highest quality standards to my role.

TACOMA PUBLIC SCHOOLS
It's an understatement to say that our collective and individual lives were changed significantly in the year 2020. At Tacoma Public Schools, we began the year with a light gaze towards what the future of technology in education may bring. We were on track to distribute more devices than in previous years, but had never considered further expansion to 1:1, did not have a district-provided learning management system, and were mid-way through a multi-year transformation of learning standards adaptation to reflect the needs of 21st century education. In late March 2020, when we were tasked with implementing a three-facet project to be completed as soon as possible: provide take-home devices to all 30,000 K-12 students, fast-forward the in-progress curriculum and standards updates to reflect remote and hybrid learning, and implement a district-sanctioned learning management system that integrates with curricular materials and our student information system.
We were extraordinarily successful in achieving the goals of the initiative on a hyperspeed schedule. By mid-December, we provided a device to all students (distribution to students in grades K-2 were last); we launched our learning management system, Schoology, by the first full week of school and had all teachers providing instruction within the system by the end of September; we have completed the evaluation and distribution of learning standards to provide a foundation for three distinct learning environments (in-person, hybrid, remote). All projects transitioned to operational status in early 2021.
I previously managed the transition to Online Student Enrollment on the PowerSchool platform. I entered this project during Execution phase for the first (of 3) forms. The project team had identified 3 distinct forms and processes that this project would transform: Choice Transfer Enrollment, New Student Enrollment, Returning Student Verification. We were able to successfully migrate our paper enrollment processes for over 30,000 students to an online form with PowerSchool. We have moved our 20 page paper process to a fully online application that provides:
an account portal that saves progress and allows for leaving applications in-process
ease of sharing data across multiple children within the same family
ability to electronically attach documents
year-round application processing window
automatic and ad-hoc communications throughout the application process
instant data and analytics for district school-based administrators
SAN FRANCISCO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
In my previous position as Product Manager at San Francisco Unified School District, I oversaw two large projects in the district: the learning management system and the “Digital Backpack,” which provides students seamless access to online learning applications. In this position, I directed critical services for a diverse school district of 56,000 students and 9,500 staff members. I led user-experience research projects, transformed complex district contracting processes into more refined and user-centric experiences, and acted as a liaison for the Technology and Innovation team with a variety of external application vendors. I maintained fidelity to the intersecting needs of multiple projects, facilitated partnerships across all levels of administration, teaching staff, and external constituents, while ensuring that, even in a large district, I delivered impeccable products and was an effective supporter of the individual needs of educators and students.
UNIVERSITY OF SAN FRANCISCO
Prior to that, I served as an Academic Success Coach and Director of Strategic Programs where I provided mentoring and advising to a caseload of 600 undergraduate students at the University of San Francisco. I leveraged technological tools to assist my work, most notably leading the project of migrating to a custom built Salesforce case management system, which aimed to better identify students at risk of being retained or of graduating on time. The case management system that we built and spearheaded gained great praise from both our internal users and the Salesforce development team. We highlighted these successes at our Dreamforce conference presentation in the fall of 2017.
Interestingly enough, my work experience spans from preschool through higher education. I initially gained interest in the field of early education when I participated in a two-year Americorps program in San Francisco where I focused on expanding literacy opportunities for 3 to 5 year-olds in under-resourced educational centers. During this time, I gained experience in writing and winning grant proposals, collaborating with community leaders to provide needed services for our school, and building literacy-rich activities for preschoolers.
This teaching experience then led me to gain full early childhood certification through the City College of San Francisco. I began teaching as an assistant teacher for a full-day preschool run by the San Francisco school district. I then went on to become a lead teacher in two different curricular models. I first led a part-day class at a parent participation cooperative preschool where I led a class of 3 year-olds while also guiding their parents as in-class assistant teachers. I then went on to become a full-day Head Start lead teacher for 2 years at a program that included supplemental enrichment funding from the Gates Foundation.
My work during my Educational Technology master's degree focused on the role of implementing tools, where appropriate, in a variety of educational settings. Examples of my work include: digital property guides for educators, tools on cyberbullying, a podcast regarding decision making for college students, and a year-long curriculum for developing and assessing a co-curricular course for students.
Being a lifelong learner and leader, I never plan to rest on my laurels. I engage with my local chapter of project professionals through the PMI network. I continue my exploration of PDU's and additional certifications because there is so much more learning to enjoy!
