ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Katya and I’m a designer and photographer from Chicago, IL. I’ve been making art and taking photos for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I would go on photo safaris with my older cousin and my dad. My dad wanted our photography experience to be real, so he helped us get our photos matted and framed, set up a gallery in his restaurant and sold both mine and my cousin's photos. 

When I entered high school, my photography passion stayed strong and I began to grow a love for magazines and started designing my own. After high school, I joined Michigan State's VIM Magazine and created three magazines of my own. I also founded / was the editor in chief for the 𝜞𝜠𝜯 Professional Art and Design Fraternity Magazine at Michigan State University. 

I now go to the University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign and do photography with an RSO called Blinkd, as well as The Fashion Network. I also occasially shoot Illinois Beta Theta Pi's band: The Buzz.
