When designing the instructions for my game, I prioritized playability over complexity. This appears in simple, easy to follow initial instructions with further challenge instructions being written on the cards themselves. This means that players will easily be able to pick the game up as they go along. As someone with ADHD, I often struggle to enjoy boardgames - especially those that require listening to a long explanation before play begins. I have many times before found myself tuning out and then not enjoying the game.
The instructions are also written in an easy to follow visual format with section headers, bulleted lists, and graphic organizers.
