Our Vision and Activities

Rotary Club of Katsuta is an organization of local business leaders based in Hitachinaka City—a community with limitless potential. We carry out our activities daily with the heartfelt wish to make our beloved region even more vibrant and to preserve its legacy for the next generation.

While Rotary clubs are often perceived as rigid or traditional, we prioritize a "smart management" style tailored to the modern era, creating an environment where every member can truly "enjoy" our activities.

To ensure that busy, active professionals can participate without strain, we have introduced a balanced schedule featuring "bi-weekly meetings on the 1st and 3rd Fridays" along with "regular evening fellowship meetings." We channel the strong bonds and energy generated through these gatherings back into our local community and out into the wider world.

① Impact on Our Local Community (Contributing to Hitachinaka City)

We do not merely discuss ideas at a desk; we actively step out into the field to engage in "hands-on community service." From environmental conservation projects to protect our beautiful local nature, to programs like RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) and other youth development initiatives designed to foster the leadership and sensibilities of the next generation, we generate real smiles and inspire the people of Hitachinaka City directly.

② Impact on the Global Community (International Humanitarian Initiatives)

Leveraging the Rotary Foundation—one of the world's largest private foundation networks—along with Japan's unique support frameworks, we tackle challenges that transcend national borders. Through our contributions to the global eradication of polio and our scholarship support for international students studying in Japan (via the Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation), we actively nurture the future leaders who will carry the torch of global peace.
