Katrina Koehn is a medical student at the University of British Columbia, based at the Northern Medical Campus in Prince George. Previously, she was a Health and Resource Development Technical Advisor for the Northern Health Authority in Fort St. John. During 2016-2019 she was a research trainee at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS at St. Paul's Hospital. In 2019 she obtained an Honours Bachelor of Science in Health from Simon Fraser University, graduating First Class with Distinction as the Dean's Medalist. Her dissertation, supervised by Drs. Robert Hogg & Kate Salters, focused on characterizing the growing population of individuals diagnosed with HIV over the age of 50.
Her interests include rural medicine, health equity, HIV, aging, housing, and food insecurity.
