I am a researcher in sociology studying educational inequalities in secondary education, students' inequality perceptions as well as their institutional effects. My doctoral thesis examined the role of educational tracking in generating inequalities in various secondary school outcomes between second-generation immigrants and ethnic majority students.
Currently, I am a post doctoral researcher at the Chair of Microsociology at the University of Konstanz and the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" Previously, I was a co-coordinater of a survey on Students' Perceptions of Inequality and Fairness. I have also worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, the Leibniz University Hannover and the Berlin Social Science Center.
