Katie DiMenna, Occupational Therapist

Welcome to OT! I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science, and went on to receive my Master of Occupational Therapy degree from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I've been a pediatric occupational therapist since 2010, working in early intervention, acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy services, medical day care and schools. I have been with the Swedesboro Woolwich School District for several years, and this year, I am working with students at the Stratton & Hill schools. I have two children, Aria & Louis. I love to exercise, cook, craft and decorate. I'm excited for a great school year!

Students are scheduled weekly, either individually or in small groups, for up to 30 minutes according to their Individualized Education Plan.

We utilize positive reinforcement strategies to motivate the students to work on skills related to their individualized goals. Use of visual/verbal work schedules are used to prepare the students, to allow him/her to know the expectations for what activities will be worked on.
