About Me

I’m Kathryn Yantz. With a lifelong passion for education and years of experience working with children, I am dedicated to fostering a love for learning that extends far beyond academics. That passion deepened even more when I became a mother. As a mom of three energetic boys, I have seen firsthand the value of educating the whole child — nurturing not only academic growth, but also curiosity, creativity, confidence, character, and a lifelong love of learning.

My teaching approach emphasizes a literature-rich education that engages children through high-quality books, meaningful discussions, hands-on learning, nature exploration, and real-world experiences. I believe children learn best in an environment that is engaging, encouraging, and thoughtfully designed to inspire wonder, critical thinking, and independence while meeting state educational requirements and supporting strong academic foundations.

Through my classes and enrichment programs, my goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where children feel known, capable, and excited to learn. I am passionate about partnering with families to cultivate lifelong learners who develop strong academic skills, a sense of curiosity about the world around them, and a genuine joy in learning.
