Hi, I'm Katheen Morrissey!

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Computational Media program within WPI's Interactive Media and Game Design department. Currently immersed in the world of academia, my research focuses on games and their representations of sociocultural realities. My ultimate goal is to leverage this insight to collaborate with game designers, fostering a positive and humane future inspired by the solarpunk philosophy.

With over a decade of experience in education, I bring a self-driven and dedicated approach to my work.  I've had the privilege of contributing to both game and literary journals. These publications reflect my commitment to fostering dialogue and shaping a more inclusive and diverse understanding of narratives and digital media. I am also interested in designing experimental, immersive experiences.

Beyond the academic realm, I'm also a digital artist. Specializing in digital painting, I find joy in creating vibrant portraits and landscapes. I also am also interested in using coding as a medium for expression

I'm always open to discussions, collaborations, and connections. Whether you're a fellow researcher, game designer, or someone intrigued by the intersection of games, art, and academia, feel free to reach out!
