I began my career in journalism as an editor and staff writer for the Mane Street Mirror, where I covered local stories, student voices, and community profiles. Since then, I’ve grown into multimedia work — interning at Connoisseur Media’s Star 99.9, leading communications as Vice President of Recruitment for Delta Phi Epsilon, and building my own photography business, Photos by Kat.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science & Technology from the University of Rhode Island, with additional coursework in journalism, political science, communication, and technical writing. My academic and professional background gives me a unique perspective on both science and storytelling.
