For my capstone course in the Energy and Sustainability Policy program at Penn State University, I partnered with Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia to help them navigate potential funding options for renewable energy projects from the Inflation Reduction Act as well as provide them with guidance on sustainable actions they can take and ways that they can engage with their congregation and community. 

Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church had already begun making efficiency upgrades and finding ways to increase their sustainability, and the goal of this project was to aid them in continuing that journey. In their community and with their congregation, the church has a unique opportunity to lead by example and help educate their neighbors on the impacts they can have on climate change through individual and collective action.

The results of this project are presented below.
