Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Iowa State University. I earned my Ph. D. and M.A. in Economics from Michigan State University and my B.S. in Economics from the University of Missouri.

My research interests are in public, health and industrial organization. Broadly, my research analyzes factors that influence grocery demand. My published work evaluates changes in grocery demand when households adopt an online grocery shopping service, as well as changes in supermarket purchasing patterns surrounding SNAP (food stamp) adoption and the SNAP benefit distribution cycle. Ongoing work evaluates the welfare impact of price per unit labeling and the influence of choice sets on consumer demand.
