I have taught courses in a number of different fields, including Development Economics, Environmental Economics and Economic Growth.

In Fall 2017, I will teach

• Environmental Economics (UK) for second & third year (BA) students. Topics covered in this course include welfare economics, environmental policy (targets and instruments), cost-benefit analysis as well as valuation methods for environmental services. For more detailed information see the Syllabus as well as moodle (univie).

• Scientific Writing/ Topics in Environmental Economics (PS) in preparation for writing a BA thesis. Topics such as finding a research question, (formal) rules of scientific writing, using and managing literature, and others will be discussed. Students will write texts that are discussed in class. For more detailed information see the Syllabus as well as moodle (univie).

In the past, I have regularly taught a course on Development Economics. Topics covered in this course include micro-economic foundations and the role of markets in development, theories of economic growth, history & expectations (multiple equilibria, etc), international trade and financial globalization.

• Information for my BA Students (summer term 2017) :
  • Timeline:
    • June 10: Submit proposal - feedback until June 14
    • July 10: Submit 1st version - feedback/meeting until July 15
    • July 31: Submit final version
  • Grade of Course "Umweltökonomie": 50% points of course, 50% points of BA thesis
  • 20 - 25 pages maximum (including graphs, tables, literature)
  • To register your grade in the system, I need the following two documents from you:
    • Eidesstattliche Erklärung
    • Bestätigung über das Verfassen einer BA Arbeit
