Dr Kate Tallon
Hello! I am a Teaching Fellow at the University of Oxford, working in the Faculties of Modern & Medieval Languages, and Linguistics, Philology & Phonetics. I am currently teaching undergraduate courses in Phonetics & Phonology and in French Linguistics.
My recent research focuses on sociophonetic variation of English spoken in Ireland (Irish English), particularly in the context of language contact between Irish and English.
After completing my BA in French and Linguistics at Oxford, I gained an MA in Linguistics at UCL and a PhD at Trinity College Dublin.
