Speaking & Writing

My public engagement is focused on communicating climate science clearly, sparking further conversation, or shifting ongoing conversations. My writing has appeared in Bay Nature and I have been a guest on the podcasts ClimateOne, Water Talk, and have been appeared on All Things Considered on NPR.

If you are interested in inviting me to speak at your event, panel, or podcast, please get in touch. In addition to my scholarly expertise as a climate impacts and adaptation  researcher, I can bring my perspective in conversations related to Western US climate and weather, climate grief & trauma, spirituality & climate, higher education in the anthropocene, climate & racial justice, labor, and more.

All But Dissertation zine

Founded in 2019 and first published in Spring 2020, ABD collected poetry, prose, a visual art to bring lesser-sung stories of graduate school to awareness: All BUT the Dissertation. I was the co-creator and editor-in-chief, putting together an editorial team of Stanford graduate students across disciplines.

Originally intended as an ongoing project, the zine became a time capsule during an era of falling apart, exploring power, home, and community. The zine is on indefinite hiatus.

You can learn more about the project here.
