About Me

I am currently a Senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Media and Cinema on a Pre-Med track. On top of this, I have completed my concentration in Psychology and am finishing up my certification in Integrative Health. You're probably wondering why I chose that combination. I am a firm believer in following your dreams, even if you have multiple. It's also because I want to keep Grey's Anatomy running forever. Additionally, I study at the University as a WGA Chick Evans Scholar. This is a full ride with room and board granted to golf caddies that demonstrate academic excellence and strong work ethic.

When not studying or filming I love to watch movies, of course! My favorite directors are Spike Jonze and Wes Anderson. My favorite movie to watch is The Boss Baby (Oscar nominated) with my nieces and nephews.

My other interests include tending to my various cacti and succulents, sewing and embroidery.

As I enter my Senior year, I will begin the process for applying for Medical school. On campus, I am a part of the Illini Medical Screening Society. This is a student run organization that goes out into the community to give free medical screenings to the uninsured and underinsured.

Outside of school I regularly volunteer at La Rabida Children's hospital on the South Side of Chicago. I can be found in the Nursing unit, making bedside visits and reading to the patients. If I'm not in the Nursing unit I can be found in the Playroom coloring with the kids.

Recently, I accepted an internship position with Northwestern Medical's Summer Program. In this program I will participate in 25 specialized clinical rotations. In these rotations I will be exposed to various units within the hospital such as: Behavioral Health, Emergency, Labor and Delivery, and Operations. Due to Covid-19, I will continue this opportunity next summer.

My Media-Cinema Studies major has allowed me to hone in on various skills. My favorite medium to work with is the Adobe Creative Cloud. While I can work with various platforms within the Creative Cloud, I am most fond of working with Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.

My newest medium I have enjoyed working with is using Augmented Reality technology for advertisements and infographics. Through these projects I have worked with the HP Reveal AR interface as well as the Metaverse interface and Metaverse creative studio. I have also had the opportunity to fine tune my filmmaking skills with virtual reality. I was able to produce and edit my own short virtual 360 tour video using the EVO camera.

I recently finished up a year's long contract with the Illinois Evans Scholars in which I designed all custom apparel items. I am currently producing a documentary on the Evans Scholarship as part of my Senior Project.
