ABOUT

Katelyn moved to Western Australia in 1988 and started writing novels, poetry, and song lyrics in 2004. She entered many competitions and competing against many excellent poets and song lyricists throughout the years.

Her songs are Fragments of Life, a story of her life, her beliefs, and life in general. Like her books and poetry they all have a message that can create hope in others. Her beliefs in the spiritual side of life have helped her believe in herself and know that at any age one can achieve ones dreams. While writing is an important part of her life, photography is her chill out hobby.

Katelyn feels much gratitude, humbleness, excitement and joy at winning a National Australian Award and in being recognised for her achievements through worldwide competitions her dreams have come to fruition.

In early 2017 Katelyn was put in touch with Rod Christian of Perth. Rod is a songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and musician, between them they created the melody for six of her songs. 

Kieran Roberts (see Home page) also sung Swingin the Hips,  the melody was created by Rod Christian. Through Rod she met a couple of female singers, Arianne a professional opera singer who sung Angel’s Sing at Night and Hearts As One, and Chelsea J Gibson singer, songwriter, and pianist who sung Trust in the Universe and Scream from her Soul.

Now retired Katelyn met Neil T Simpson, who was a covers performer and radio DJ. They decided to cowrite a covid song for the 2020 UK Songwriting Contest. A Different Ride was created in 3 days and entered into the contest.
