Are you feeling mathematically adventurous? Has it been a long time since you have worked with some cool math stuff? Do you feel like you want to have some fun with your collegues?
During the 2027-2028 school year, I am planning on hosting a whole tournament of math battles in Ottawa, ON, for students in Grades 9-12. To help the tournament gain attention and decrease amount of stress over the rules, two math battles are going to be hosted a during 2026-2027 school year -- one for teachers and one for students!

Date of the Battle: November 21, 2026.
Location of the Battle: CRX 320.
The schedule for the day is provided on the right: note that the Battle doesn't really have an end point since it depends on how many questions have been solved by the teams, how they solved them, and how they present them.
Remark: You are welcome to come to see the battle & participate in the discussion afterwards, even if you are not playing! However, note that I cannot promise lunch to people who are not participating in the battle.
*Time period dedicated to a chat between teachers & organisers, including (but not limited to) choosing the date for the students' battle during the next school term.

Note that the form is for individuals, NOT for the team registration. In the morning of the Battle day, we will split all the participants into two (more or less) equal teams, and you will have a chance to choose to be on the same team as your colleagues (or not...).

The Battle will include a set of 6-10 problems, oriented on Grades 9-12. However, all math teachers are welcome to join!
As in any math competition, the problem set will include problems usual to see in school materials, which might require some creative thinking to be worked out. Only scientific calculators are allowed.
So far, it has not happened :D
