I was responsible for designing and co-delivering a training session to the RMIT Biomedical team who were keen to change their practice around teamwork and also gain support and advice in using SparkPLUS. The following powerpoint was used to support guiding them through a session which included activities and discussions.
I co-designed and delivered training covering key 'quick wins' to improve the student experience in the LMS as an introduction for staff new to La Trobe University. The session covered chunking and sequencing content and scaffolding the learning in order to better support students - tasks that anyone can do just using the web content editor. A colleague and I brainstormed what were the essential items for staff and then provided examples as much as possible so they knew what these could look like in practice. The sessions weren't always targeted to the right staff (we had some admin staff attend) but teaching staff (who the session was aimed and marketed towards) gave positive feedback and typically led to further consultation work as a result.
The 'content before' and 'content after' slides also demonstrate some of the content redesign work I did for a nursing subject as part of the CDI redesigns.
I designed and co-designed a range of 'quicksheet' guides to support RMIT SEH College staff meet the Canvas 14 Elements quality assurance process. The guides were designed to be short guides to cover a key element each, and how to meet the QA in a quick and easy manner, and were used to supplement open drop in sessions/at elbow support for staff during peak periods. A selection of the guides are provided below.
I designed and delivered a range of training options for teaching staff as part of the eLearning Environment (eLE) project (2012 - 2014), including:
Face to face training (the 'VU Collaborate for Instructors' PowerPoint below is an example of the material for the F2F session delivered)
PDF guides and web-based HTML page resources
Videos
In addition to training delivered for the eLE project, I also delivered training as part of 'BAU' (business as usual) duties in my role as Blended Learning Training and Support Co-ordinator. The Virtual Classroom checklist and recording from a Media compression and storage training session are examples of this work.
