Katarina Gomboc Čeh

General information

I am a fourth-year Graduate Student and a Junior Research Fellow (ARRS funding) at the Center for Cognitive Science of Language at the University of Nova Gorica, where my advisor is Arthur Stepanov.

I work primarily on formal syntax with a focus on Slavic languages. My main areas of interest are psycholinguistics, heritage speakers, long-distance dependencies.

I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at the Faculty of Arts at the Department of Slovene Studies and the Department of Slavistics of the University of Ljubljana. My advisors for my MA thesis were Mladen Uhlik and Andreja Žele. The thesis was about modal verbs in Slovenian, Russian, and Ukrainian. I am also a teacher of these three languages.
