I am a senior economist at the Economic Research and Development Impact Department (ERDI), Asian Development Bank (ADB).
I have more than 20 years of experience in economic research and analysis, project management, academic teaching, and consulting. My research covers a wide spectrum of topics about goods and services trade, offshoring and import competition, exporters and competition on export markets, regional trade agreements, foreign direct investment, multinational firms, technology spillovers, competition and innovation.
Prior to joining ADB I was a professor at the School of Economics, the University of the Philippines, Manila, the Philippines, Senior Research Fellow, at ETLA Research Institute of the Finnish Economy, Finland and Adjunct Professor at Aalto University School of Business, Finland. I hold a PhD from Stockholm School of Economics, Sweden.
