Privacy Policy for KasKita
Effective Date: April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KasKita ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, protects, and handles your information when you use our mobile application. By using KasKita, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. Information Collection and Use
KasKita is designed with a privacy-first approach. All of your core financial data, community member data, and transaction histories are stored locally on your device. We do not have backend servers that collect or read your financial data.
However, to provide specific features, our app requests the following device permissions:
Contacts Permission (READ_CONTACTS): We access your contact list strictly to make it easier for you to register community/group members within the app without manual typing. We do not upload, share, or store your address book on any external servers.
Camera & Photo Gallery: We request access to your camera and gallery so you can capture and upload profile pictures for administrators, members, and group logos. These images are stored locally on your device.
Biometric/Fingerprint Data: If you enable Biometric Login, the authentication is handled exclusively by your device's native secure operating system. KasKita does not extract, collect, or store your fingerprint or facial recognition data.
Device Storage: We require storage access to read and write your database backup files (.kdb files) when you use the Backup & Restore functionality.
2. Third-Party Services & AdMob (Google)
For users on our Free version, KasKita uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob uses advertising ID tracking to serve personalized ads based on your interests.
Google AdMob may collect and use data such as your IP address, device identifiers, and location data to provide relevant advertisements.
You can learn more about how Google handles information by visiting Google's Privacy & Terms.
Note: Users who have activated the Pro/Premium license will have this third-party ad tracking completely disabled.
3. Data Syncing and Backup
KasKita provides a Database Syncing/Backup feature (exporting .kdb files). You are entirely responsible for where you store or whom you share this exported backup file with. Since we do not use cloud databases, we cannot recover your data if you lose your phone or delete the app without a personal backup.
4. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
6. Contact Us
If you have any questions or suggestions about our Privacy Policy, or if you need assistance regarding your app activation and data, you can contact the development team through the "Chat Admin" feature embedded within the app itself.
