Our research group members celebrated the recognition and achievement of Prof. Bellie Sivakumar from IIT Bombay, who made it to the Stanford top 2% list of scientists in the field of Environmental Engineering worldwide, among 3,80,123 researchers.

I had the privilege of conversing during EGU-24 International Conference with Prof. Ralf Merz, (Head of Department, Department Catchment Hydrology, Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ, Germany), Prof. Dr. Thorsten Wagener (Professor, University of Potsdam, Germany), Dr.Lina Stein (University of Potsdam, Germany) and Prof. Stefano Basso (Associate Professor, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU))
Attended three day workshop on IEEE-GRSS International Soil Moisture School, IIT Bombay (15th - 17th March, 2023). The goal of this school is to provide an overview of microwave remote sensing of soil moisture and its applications organised by Dr. Karthikeyan Lenka and Dr. Avik Bhattacharya.
About 65 partcipants attended the school (Young postgraduates, Ph.D. students, postdocs, and young scientists). We had the following experts at IITB to deliver lectures: Dara Entekhabi (MIT), Simon Yueh (NASA JPL), Paul Rosen (NASA JPL), Gerald Bawden (NASA), Paul Siqueira (University of Massachusetts), Rajat Bindlish (NASA GSFC), Prof Jeffrey Walker FIEAust CPEng EngExec FIEEE FMSSANZ (Monash University), Binayak Mohanty (Texas A&M University), Mehmet Kurum (Mississippi State University), Narendra Das (Michigan State University), Seungbum Kim (NASA JPL), Jasmeet Judge (University of Florida), Prashant Srivastava (BHU), D. Nagesh Kumar (IISc Bangalore), Subimal Ghosh (IIT Bombay), and Sat Kumar Tomer (Satyukt Analytics). We had theory, lab and in-situ hands-on sessions spanning over three days.
