Selected for the JAXA Space Strategic Fund
Our research team, led by Prof. Yasuko Kasai at the Institute of Science Tokyo (東京科学大学), has been selected under the JAXA Space Strategic Fund.

The selected project is entitled:
“Development and Demonstration of Lunar Water Resource Exploration Technology (Sensing Technologies)”
月面の水資源探査技術（センシング技術）の開発・実証

This initiative is a multi-institutional collaboration with the following planned partner organizations:

• University of Tokyo

• Hokkaido University

• Osaka Metropolitan University

• ispace Inc.

• and three additional institutions

This selection underscores the importance of advancing lunar in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) and highlights our leadership in planetary remote sensing and instrumentation.
