Do any of you guys know how its possible for some youtube videos to be longer than 12 hours in length. I've seen afew longplays being over the 12 hour limit ?, or is the limit just down to the file size not exceeding 128gb ?

You can cut out the beginning, middle, or end of your video on a computer. You don't need to re-upload a video to trim it. The video's URL, view count, and comments will stay the same. This feature is only available for videos shorter than 6 hours."

If your video is larger than 256 GB, try compressing your video in a video editing software before uploading it to YouTube. Compressing will reduce your video file size while maintaining the video quality. One common way to compress a video for YouTube is to encode it using the H.264 codec.

Yeah this is really frustrating, I had gone back and marked a bunch of VODs for export before they were deleted, and then didn't check on their status until it was too late; 14-16 hour streams, split into a "processing abandoned, video is too long" part, and a random few hours from the end getting preserved. As far as I can tell, my only option on YouTube is to delete the file, but I am afraid to press the button in case there ever was a way to snip the ends of the file and have it finally be processed. Someone please let me know if there's a way to recover the abandoned file on YouTube... But yeah, this shouldn't be a problem in the first place, and it really needs to export in correctly sized segments!

Exporting >12hr VODs causes them to split into chunks of up to 12 hours. The max length of a YouTube upload is not 12 hours, but 11h 59m 59s, so with the way that Twitch currently splits VODs during export, these exports fail.

You will see a prompt after 4 hours of continuous playback without any user activity. It will ask you to confirm that you are still watching. If no confirmation is received, the channel will exit to the Roku Home screen.

I bought my first og camera and with the cam plus free trial I could see 15 second blocks of video, but a few days ago I bought a second og camera and when I installed it I contracted the cam plus plan for the second camera.

but now neither the first nor the second camera record more than 12 seconds.

I have noticed today when I want to see the video of a robbery, the entire image is cut off and I am very upset that this is happening.

I already restarted them and verified that they are connected to the plan, but still this problem continues.

Remember, when taking a video with a still camera, most of the pixels are taking data that is simply thrown away since the video resolution is much smaller than the still resolution. Not an efficient use of the silicon.

I am trying to create a video that is longer than 4+ hours using openshot software on Linux and Windows 7. Both test failed miserably. In fact, the whole program completely freezes within 2 minutes of trying to export the video and then it crashes altogether. I've tried closing everything else thinking the program needs all the memory it needs to do this. Still, it didn't work.

The Only way to resolve this issue was uninstalling the latest and the greatest version of Openshot and installing the OLD version of OpenShot that actually works flawlessly on my machine. That's what I am using now old version of OpenShot and so far, it has not given me any issue at all. I can export a video as long as 6 hours and it does it even though it takes about 9 to 18 hours, which is expected.

I need to schedule a ton of videos for a client that are longer than a minute (by just a few seconds or even a minute longer than 60 seconds). Is there any way to schedule these in advance instead of having to do it manually through the app? I even tried FB Business Suite and they limit me there to 1 min. Can Later provide this service at all, even if you have to pay for it? Or even just to schedule it on later and notify me that "hey you need to post this video and caption" and I post it natively myself?

Hi @Zury! Instagram's API limits videos longer than 60 seconds from Auto Publishing, but you can use Notification Publishing to schedule and post lengthier videos! Here's some more information on Notification Publishing and how it works.

Hey there- thanks so much for following up to let us know these details. We're happy to help clarify!

Video scheduling and publishing is available on all of the plans, however IG restricts videos longer than 60 seconds from being Auto Published, but you can use Notification Publishing to schedule and post these. Here is our Guide to Later's Plans which lists all the features available for each plan.

Each story can be up to 60 seconds in length. And, as mentioned, Instagram Stories last for 24 hours, or you can save them to a highlight reel so that people who visit your profile can view them any time:

Instagram Story ads are a little bit different. Video ads that are less than 30 seconds will be played in their entirety, but anything longer than that may be split into separate Stories cards (typically 15 second segments). Instagram will then play either one, two, or three cards automatically before giving viewers the option to keep watching.

Instagram live lets you broadcast live videos for up to four hours without retakes. The live video can be reposted to your profile if the live video is longer than 15 minutes. Once you hit the four hour limit, you can go live again for another four hours and so on.

With the extra time, you can experiment with new and expanded content ideas, create deeper-dive tutorials, offer more detailed explainers, share longer stories, and more. Do you want to create a comedy skit with a punchline that might benefit from more buildup? Maybe you want to share a recipe that takes a bit longer to explain.

The audio library has expanded to include longer-duration sounds and continues to grow daily. If you prefer, you are, of course, able to publish with no music. Not every video needs a sound, but we do recommend using it when it makes sense for your content.

As the second-largest search engine (behind Google), YouTube is more than just a network where you can watch dog videos after work. YouTube allows brands to showcase their unique value propositions in an engaging way. But because video is the only kind of content supported, it can also be a bit resource-intensive for many marketing teams. These next few statistics lay out some insights to help brands optimize their time on YouTube.

Facebook has a few different types of videos available to you. For example, Facebook livestreams can be as long as 8 hours. And Facebook says that most people will watch other video types to the end if they are 15 seconds long. One study found that if you want higher engagement, 2 to 5 minutes was the range to aim for.

Going Live is more and more popular for brands. Live Facebook videos that last over an hour have been found to increase engagement from 0.19% to 0.86% when compared to 5 to 10 minute video lengths. According to another study, users watch livestream videos at a rate of 10 to 20 times longer than other types of video content.

Forty-six percent of global viewers use video to learn something new. These types of videos tend to be longer in length not just because of the content but because people will search directly for them. Three to six minutes is a good starting point, though many videos do go beyond if the information is captivating.

On Monday, April 10, 2023, a Notice of Retraction and Replacement published for the article featured below. The key findings remain the same. The press release has been updated, in line with the retracted and replacement article, to clarify that attention problems, depression symptoms, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) scores were significantly higher among children who played three hours per day or more compared to children who had never played video games.

A study of nearly 2,000 children found that those who reported playing video games for three hours per day or more performed better on cognitive skills tests involving impulse control and working memory compared to children who had never played video games. Published today in JAMA Network Open, this study analyzed data from the ongoing Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study, which is supported by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and other entities of the National Institutes of Health.

Although a number of studies have investigated the relationship between video gaming and cognitive behavior, the neurobiological mechanisms underlying the associations are not well understood. Only a handful of neuroimaging studies have addressed this topic, and the sample sizes for those studies have been small, with fewer than 80 participants.

The researchers found that the children who reported playing video games for three or more hours per day were faster and more accurate on both cognitive tasks than those who never played. They also observed that the differences in cognitive function observed between the two groups was accompanied by differences in brain activity. Functional MRI brain imaging analyses found that children who played video games for three or more hours per day showed higher brain activity in regions of the brain associated with attention and memory than did those who never played. At the same time, those children who played at least three hours of videogames per day showed more brain activity in frontal brain regions that are associated with more cognitively demanding tasks and less brain activity in brain regions related to vision.

While prior studies have reported associations between video gaming and increases in violence and aggressive behavior, this study did not find that to be the case. Though children who reported playing video games for three or more hours per day scored higher on measures of attention problems, depression symptoms, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) compared to children who played no video games, the researchers found that these mental health and behavioral scores did not reach clinical significance in either group, meaning, they did not meet the thresholds for risk of problem behaviors or clinical symptoms. The authors note that these will be important measures to continue to track and understand as the children mature. e24fc04721
