Hey... I am Kartick
Welcome to my webpage...
Hello! I'm Kartick Ramakrishnan, a passionate and driven PhD student in the Department of Computational and Data Sciences at IISc Bengaluru. Under the guidance of Prof. Phani Motamarri, my research lies at the fascinating intersection of HPC methods, quantum mechanics, and energy storage.
In my previous avatar, I spent four enriching years in the automotive sector following my undergraduate studies. During this time, I had the privilege of gaining hands-on experience across various domains. In the first year, I had the opportunity to rotate between after-sales warehousing, manufacturing, and vehicle design, allowing me to develop a holistic understanding of the automotive industry.
With a strong foundation in the automotive sector and a passion for cutting-edge research, I am now fully immersed in my PhD journey, determined to push the boundaries of computational material science working at the fascinating intersection of HPC-centric computational methods, quantum mechanics and materials design. Furthermore, my research also focuses on developing multi-scale modelling strategies leveraging the above methods to inform higher-scale models with useful data for accurate prediction of macroscopic properties. I thrive on solving complex problems, applying innovative approaches, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to drive impactful results.
