NSS USBT is the official chapter of the National Service Scheme (NSS) at University School of Biotechnology, GGSIPU. Established under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, our mission is to inspire students to actively participate in community service and social development. Through various initiatives, we aim to cultivate a spirit of selfless service, leadership, and social responsibility among students. By engaging in diverse projects, we strive to create a positive impact on society while fostering personal growth and civic consciousness among volunteers.
The NSS logo is inspired by the Rath Wheel of the Konark Sun Temple, symbolizing progress, dedication, and the spirit of selfless service. The eight spokes represent diverse paths of service, while the dark blue color reflects a broad vision for humanity, and the red signifies the energy and passion of youth. Its circular shape stands for unity and community participation. Altogether, the logo embodies NSS's mission of shaping responsible citizens through voluntary service and social commitment.
The motto of the National Service Scheme (NSS) is "Not Me, But You," reflecting the essence of selfless service and social responsibility. It emphasizes placing the needs of the community above personal interests, fostering a spirit of empathy, teamwork, and nation-building. This motto inspires volunteers to work for the welfare of society, promoting a sense of duty and commitment toward creating a more inclusive and compassionate world.
