I am a Researcher and Director at the Frankfurt School - UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate & Sustainable Energy Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
I am further a member of the Sustainable Finance Research Platform, a initiative of German research institutions that is funded by Stiftung Mercator.
Before joining Frankfurt School, I received a PhD in Economics from the Justus-Liebig University Giessen.
My main research areas are climate and environmental economics. I am particularly interested in the role of financial markets and policy for the transition to a sustainable economy. In addition, I research financial constraints for low-carbon innovation, the coordination problem of combating climate change, and the economic impacts of extreme weather events. I am also interested in sports economics.
