I am a professor of economics at Uppsala University. In addition, I am a visiting scholar at Sveriges Riksbank and a board member of the Fiscal Policy Council. My research is within macroeconomics, mainly related to business cycles, immigration, macro-labor and macro-housing. An important part of my current research concerns the role of housing and mortgages for the monetary policy transmission. I am also part of the MacH2M research group, which empirically characterizes the key dimensions of heterogeneity between households (and firms) that affect how shocks propagate through the economy. Our first paper in this research group concerns how to estimate the MPC wealth gradient.
