The following papers are examples from previous students’ work. All of them have areas that are well written and also some areas that could use improvement.
Over the years, the criteria for this assignment has changed. Below is some context about the assignment requirements at the time the paper was written.
This paper is an older example from 2009 when I taught at EMU. This assignment required three scholarly sources, instead of the current five. Additionally, the assignment used MLA formatting, instead of APA, which is currently used.
This assignment is from 2020. The requirements are the same as the current ones.

All of these have been reformatted to fit with the style of this reader. They were originally in MLA or APA formatting (12 point, Times New Roman font or similar, Double-spaced, Indented first lines, etc). Please make sure to format your paper according to APA guidelines and not mirror these readings.
We will go over these in class, so you may want to jot down some notes to yourself after you’ve read the paper.
