Things I Learned From This: This was my first development experience in augmented reality, and since it was entirely developed on my own, it was a very intense experience. I learned a lot, from scaling and positioning 3D objects for best player experience to AR UX.
ARScape is a mobile game developed for my Master's Thesis. The game is an augmented reality escape room which uses the player's immediate surroundings as the room for the player to escape from.
A GitHub repo with the code is available here. Vuforia Engine is used to handle AR content, meaning the code will not run without a developer's license (which is free to obtain).
Things I Learned From This: This controller was my first AI bot on this scale, so it had a few imperfections. However, I designed the modularized system on my own, and it took a few iterations to reach that stage. It was a good learning experience.
As a final project for a Game AI class, I wrote an enemy AI controller for a knockoff/simplified version of the mobile game Clash Royale. The GitHub repository can be found here. A preview of the AI in action is in the accompanying video.
Things I Learned From This: While my game writing experience is limited, this jam gave me some good insight into how to write small stories while keeping them connected to each other.
Opportunity was developed in a 48 hour long Game Jam by myself and my three teammates. All of us took on the roles of designer and programmer, but we also took on other roles. I was Lead Writer for the mini stories within the game. You can see examples of the stories here.
Things I Learned From This: Nyctophobia was the first game I ever worked on outside of a classroom setting, and I learned a lot about balancing player skills and playtesting while thinking of a wider player audience.
Nyctophobia is a board game developed by Cast Games Inc, where all but one of the players experience the game blind. I worked with a small team to conduct User Experience Research, and worked on design as well.
