Philosophy and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) through the state of Oregon providing individual and family therapy services. My counseling approach is integrative with an emphasis on Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, and solution-focused aspects. My strategies are strengths-based, and I aim to empower as well as educate, using collaborative problem-solving to creatively work with you to develop goals toward your own personal growth and healing journey!
Formal Education, Training, and Background
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Psychology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK in 2012. Some of the many courses I’ve completed relevant to this field are: Psychology of Infancy & Childhood, Psychology of Adolescents, Psychology of the Exceptional Child, and Abnormal Psychology.
I earned my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health from Northeastern State University in 2016. I have taken courses in: Psychological Assessments, Marriage & Family Therapy, Group Therapy, and Psychopharmacology; with seminars in DSM-5 Diagnoses, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy.
I completed my Internship with a mental health agency in northeastern Oklahoma, and worked in the mental health field as a level II case manager providing case management and psychosocial rehabilitation (skills training) services in northeastern Oklahoma for two years. The ages of children I’ve worked with range from 5-18 years old. I also have experience working with adults.
I am registered with the National Board of Certified Counselors.
As an LPC with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, I abide by its Code of Ethics, which has been adopted from the American Counseling Association’s code of ethics.

I am a licensed professional counselor with experience in working with children of various age groups and their families. I am trained in EMDR, and have some training in play therapy techniques and CBT. I am compassionate and although I incorporate various theoretical techniques into my practice, I am person-centered and will meet you where you are.
More about me
I was born and raised in Oklahoma. I developed an interest in psychology in high school, and that interest grew into a passion. After receiving a bachelors in development psychology in 2012, I decided to pursue a higher education in clinical mental health, and received a Master of Science in 2016.
I had the opportunity to present research through poster presentations in Oklahoma, Texas, and NYC while both in undergraduate and graduate school with Northeastern State University
In 2017 I accepted a therapist position in Grants Pass, OR working in community mental health. I have since worked with children of all ages, families and adults.
In June, 2020 I became fully licensed in the state of Oregon, and have been working with children, teens, adults and families who reside in the state of Oregon.
