Karen Shen

I am a health economist conducting research on topics relating to (1) the long-term care industry and the caregiving workforce, (2) care for people with mental health and substance use-related disorders. I am currently an assistant professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

I received my PhD in economics from Harvard University in 2021. I also hold a B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Sciences and an M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University, which I graduated in 2013.
