"This summer, I had the privilege of spending four weeks on Capitol Hill as an intern for Congressman Joe Wilson, who represents the second congressional district of South Carolina. During my internship, I attended hearings on foreign affairs, armed services, education and the workforce, and many other policy issues. We also had the opportunity to meet members of Congress, ambassadors, lobbyists, and other leaders. In the office, I gave Capitol tours to constituents, answered phone calls, drafted letters, and helped with a variety of other tasks."
"Living in Washington, D.C. was the best month of my life! Getting to be surrounded by so many passionate, like-minded people while exploring my interests in law and government was an incredible experience. I met so many amazing people, learned more than I could have imagined, and if I had the chance to do it all over again, I absolutely would!"
"My membership in Kappa Alpha Pi has played an important role in encouraging me to explore opportunities like this and further pursue my interests in law and government. I am so grateful for the connections and experiences Kappa Alpha Pi has given me, and I cannot wait to share what I learned on Capitol Hill with my fellow brothers!"

"Over the summer, I was fortunate enough to be an intern on Capitol Hill for my local representative, Jefferson Shreve, from Indiana’s Sixth Congressional District. As an intern, I was responsible for engaging with constituents through answering phone calls and assisting with case work requests. I was also tasked with various legislative projects that required extensive research and data collection to assist our staff in their work."
"One of the best parts of my internship was living in Washington D.C. for nearly three months. During that time, I fostered relationships with both fellow interns and established political professionals. Being able to network and create connections has had a profound impact on my professional development, opening even more work opportunities down the road."
"Being a part of the KAPi brotherhood has both enabled and enhanced my experience on Capitol Hill. I wouldn’t have been aware or able to accomplish this opportunity if it wasn’t for the resources KAPi had provided. Following this experience, I plan to further utilize the opportunities and connections KAPi offers, and can’t wait to share these experiences with my fellow brothers."
