Kapil Bhorkar
Kapil Bhorkar is a Postdoctoral Scientist at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. As a part of the Laboratory of Advanced Separation (LAS), his efforts are extended to develop a simple and scalable synthesis process for pristine and functionalized nanoporous graphene to be used as large-scale membranes (~ 25 sq. cm area).
He pursued his Ph.D. in Materials Science as a Marie Skłodowska Curie doctoral fellow. His core expertise is novel industrially viable synthesis techniques (chemical vapor deposition and laser-assisted growth) for graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides.
