President's Message

Greetings!

Welcome to the Kansas Orff Chapter’s website! I am proud to say that our chapter is
a flourishing organization that hosts 3 fabulous workshops every year, sponsors Orff
Certification Levels 1-3, and provides a network of music educators who share ideas and support each other. Our Chapter is committed to providing high quality workshops for teachers so they can lead children towards rich musical experiences full of joy and learning.

KOC work goes beyond our workshops. Each year we offer scholarships to attend
the Baker Orff Certification levels and the AOSA national conference. You can find more information about that on the website. We also sponsor a clinician for our state KsMEA conference. Finally, we are proud that each year we have been able to donate money towards AOSA’s scholarship fund.

I have been a member of KOC for over 20 years. I can honestly say that KOC and
AOSA have been my best source for professional growth. It is my favorite place to network with positive people and recharge my batteries. Our chapter is full of incredible people who are passionate about doing wonderful things in their music classrooms with the kids needs being first and foremost.
