Where Did We See Leadership?

Harvesters - The Community Food Network

  • Harvester's mission is to feed hungry people today and work to end hunger tomorrow. They also provide household items and food products to non-profit organizations across the nation.
  • The main facility is located in Kansas City and serves surrounding 26 counties.
  • This organization is a leader in its community and the nation
  • They showed integrity in their work, they were informed on their duties and positions, and had an undeniable passion that encouraged our hearts.
  • While volunteering here, we were able to lead by the example that Harvesters showed us.

Hawkeye Service Teams Showed Us

  • Learning how maintain positivity and be an effective leader can be the difference between success and failure in a group dynamic.
  • Our group learned that LEADERSHIP means knowing how to work with organizations to support them in their mission
  • In order for a group to be effective, all heads need to be in the game.
  • We are grateful to have learned so much from our time in Kansas City!
