Outreach

I enjoy engaging with young minds, answering their questions, and helping them become more aware of the various career paths one can choose from within STEM fields. As a result, science outreach has been an integral part of my life as a researcher. I have worked with a bunch of awesome organizations and programs in the past and still continue to work with some of them. Here are some details:

Adopt a physicist a program by AIP/SPS, APS, and AAPT, aimed at connecting high school physics students to real physics graduates.

New York Academy of Sciences’ 1000 girls-1000 futures program a groundbreaking initiative to engage young women interested in STEM fields, and provide them mentoring in their pursuit of STEM careers. Being a woman, I felt great working as a mentor under this initiative and a couple other by academy's Global STEM Alliance.

Exciting Science Group a Pune, India based group which aims at sharing the excitement of science and technology with school students. I received their fellowship (2013-2014) to work as a science club mentor during my graduate school at IISER Pune.
