"An Artists' Response"
Welcome to Kaneko Gallery's "An Artist's Response” exhibition. The idea for the exhibition came after seeing so many artists on social media making art in response to the death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery. This exhibition features works from local, regional and national artists that highlight the arts community’s stance against social injustice. The works vary from portraits of the victims of police brutality to abstraction.
At Kaneko we believe that art can be a catalyst for great change. We believe that creating a space where these artworks can be viewed together will make a powerful statement.
