Kanban Board (“the App”) is a productivity app for managing tasks, projects, and workflows on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. We built the App with a privacy-first approach: your content stays on your devices, and we do not operate our own user accounts, servers, or advertising network.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and what choices you have.
We do not:
Require you to create an account with Nextpixel Apps
Collect your name, email address, or contact details through normal use of the App
Sell your personal information
Use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs to track you across apps or websites
Access your tasks, projects, attachments, or other content stored in the App
The App stores the data you create and manage, including:
Projects, boards, columns, tasks, subtasks, tags, and sprints
Task details such as titles, descriptions, due dates, priorities, timers, and workflow status
Activity history within your projects
Images and file attachments you choose to add to tasks
App preferences (language, appearance, notification settings, and similar options)
This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s on-device storage technologies (including SwiftData).
If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your App data is synchronized through your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit (iCloud.pixel.KanbanApp).
When iCloud Sync is enabled:
Data is encrypted in transit and stored in your private iCloud database
Sync is handled by Apple’s infrastructure under your Apple ID
Nextpixel Apps cannot access, view, or retrieve your synced content
You can turn off iCloud Sync at any time in the App’s Settings
Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
The App includes features that share data only within your Apple ecosystem and on your devices:
Widget summaries (such as Today tasks and board snapshots) are stored in a shared App Group container on your device so widgets can display your information.
If you use the Apple Watch companion app, task and project summaries are synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple’s Watch connectivity services. This data remains associated with your devices and Apple ID ecosystem.
If you use the Share extension to create tasks from other apps, the content you share is processed within the App Group on your device to create tasks in Kanban Board.
We do not receive this data on our servers.
If you grant permission, the App can send local notifications on your device, such as:
Daily summaries of tasks due today
Reminders for overdue or upcoming tasks
Notification content is generated on your device from your task data. We do not send push notifications from our own servers.
You can manage or disable notifications at any time in the App’s Settings or in iOS Settings.
If you choose to attach photos or files to a task, the App requests access to your Photo Library or file picker so you can select content. We only access items you explicitly choose. Selected images and files are stored locally in the App (and in iCloud if you have enabled iCloud Sync).
The App does not scan your entire photo library or upload attachments to Nextpixel Apps servers.
On supported devices running iOS 26 or later, the App may offer optional Apple Intelligence features, such as:
AI-generated project summaries
AI-generated task plans from your ideas
When you use these features:
Processing is performed on your device using Apple’s Foundation Models framework
Prompts may include project context you already store in the App (such as project name, columns, and task summaries)
We do not receive your prompts or AI responses
Apple Intelligence availability depends on your device, region, and Apple Intelligence settings
Apple’s handling of on-device intelligence features is governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
The App may occasionally ask you to rate or review it using Apple’s StoreKit review prompt. This is handled entirely by Apple and iOS. We do not receive personal information through this process beyond what Apple may provide to developers in aggregate App Store analytics.
The App supports Apple system features such as Siri Shortcuts, Widgets, and App Intents. These features operate using data on your device and do not send your task content to Nextpixel Apps.
Data remains on your device until you delete it in the App or delete the App from your device.
If iCloud Sync is enabled, synced data remains in your iCloud account according to Apple’s retention policies until you delete it or disable sync.
Uninstalling the App removes local App data from your device (subject to iOS behavior and any iCloud copies you may have).
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at support@nextpixelapps.com.
If you use iCloud Sync or other Apple services, your data may be processed by Apple on servers located in various countries, in accordance with Apple’s privacy practices and your Apple ID settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your personal information. Because we do not collect or store your App content on our servers, most data is under your direct control on your device and in your iCloud account.
For privacy questions or requests, contact: support@nextpixelapps.com
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or on our website.
Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
