KAMON INDIGO was born from the heart of Kamolchanok Saensopha, a woman from Phrae who chose to return to her hometown to create fashion using traditional fabrics and natural dyes in a contemporary, environmentally friendly style.
The inspiration for the brand began with a significant yet simple event on the day of her university entrance exam, she was unable to answer a question about the National Artist from her province, Phrae. This incident became a pivotal moment that ignited Kamolchanok’s desire to reconnect with her roots and understand the culture of her homeland on a deeper level.
Upon returning to Phrae, she embarked on a journey to learn the craft of traditional woven textiles known as "Tin Jok" and natural dyeing techniques from local artisans. This became a new adventure in discovering the "hidden values" of local craftsmanship, reflecting the simplicity, patience, and wisdom of the indigenous people.
Driven by heartfelt learning, she established KAMON INDIGO to convey the charm of natural fabrics through contemporary fashion, using colors from a variety of plants and natural materials such as:Â
💙 Indigo plant leaves for the unique deep blue hue of traditional "Moh" fabric Â
🌸 Lac for a gentle soft pink shade Â
🌰 Ebony for a rich natural brown tone Â
🌼 Mixed leaves and marigold flowers for a soft, bright yellow Â
🌿 Mixed leaves and Hom for a soft yellowish green tone
