Compiling Kamix is rather simple and unified between distributions (unless your specific distribution requires a special setting to be applied in compilation).
Note that the compilation steps between Kamix 2.x and 1.x (LTS) are the same.
Download Kamix (or your distro).
Select "File" in "Select Project" and click "Choose File".
Import the .pmp file that you just downloaded.
Click "Load Project".
Important: Scroll to "Player Options" and check "Remove sandbox on the JavaScript Extension". This allows Kamix's extensions to function properly.
Change any other settings to your choice, or import a JSON file by scrolling to the bottom and clicking "Import Settings".
Scroll to "Environment", click the option that you want ("Plain HTML" is recommended for most systems).
Click "Package", and download the file that appears below.
Be sure to test!
For embedded Windows, Linux, and macOS systems, Kamix can be compiled to proprietary, executable formats (i. e., .exe). The program does not need to run as Administrator, or with sudo if you're on macOS or Linux.
The compilation process is the same as for all platforms, but you select "Electron WIndows application" (or the option for your operating system) as the Environment setting instead of "Plain HTML". However, compiling specifically for embedded systems is not recommended, and you should just install a web browser and compile the HTML version unless you are in a kiosk setting.
