Between 1890 and 1907, Kamenka residents had church services in the village Custom House.
The stone church was built in 1907. It still stands but is in ruins.
Kamenka Russia was a Catholic colony but there were five Lutheran families living there. These five families were Aman, Glaser, Heiland, Kaul, and Reiss.
