Final Reflection
I’ve learned a lot in this class and I believe Dr. Mcginnis has made me a better writer. When writing for this class I definitely had to put more effort because I knew Dr. Mcginnis would be more knit picky than my teachers in high school. Things like Peer reviewing and participating in discussion were stressed on a weekly basis and became a habit over time. I learned to better organize my work by using an online portfolio and also I learned to use in- text citations and signal phrases in assignments such as Project 4 where we analyzed a visual for cultural codes. I improved my critical thinking skills in assignments such as the Project 3 Service Learning project. In this project we worked hands on with the community and met professionals and used their input to create professional material. Also the pace of the class having new projects back to back helped me not to get complacent or to start procrastinating. I would definitely recommend this class to someone looking to become a better writer.
