Biography

Shri. Y. Kamala Raju is a Assistant Professor at the Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET), Hyderabad, Telangana since 2012. He obtained B.E. Civil Engineering from Osmania University, M. Tech. Structural Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada and  pursuing Doctor of philosophy from JNTUK.  Previously he was served as an Engineering Consultant, Department of Rural Development, Government of Telangana from Jan 2010 -Jan 2012 and Trainee Engineer at ZEDCON Consultants, King Koti, Hyderabad, Telangana from May to October 2007.

He has supervised four M. Tech. Students and twenty seven B. Tech. Student batches so far  and he has published two Indian patents and thirty one research papers in reputed National and International Journals and conferences. Beyond his academic roles, he is actively involved in organizing various  Conferences, FDPs, Seminars, Guest Lectures, Workshops, and Webinars by the Department of Civil Engineering, GRIET, Hyderabad, India. He has been Coordinator, IEI Student chapter, GRIET since July 2022. His commitment and extensive expertise makes him a valuable contributor to the academics, bringing forth valuable insights and Knowledge.

Research Areas of Interest: Modelling of Structures, Finite Element Analysis (Static, Dynamic, Modal Analysis), Simulation, Structural Analysis, Earthquake Resistant Design of structures,  Nonlinear Structural Dynamics, Ground Improvement, Supplementary Cementitious Materials, Soil-Structure Interaction, Durability of Concrete,  Self-Compacting Concrete. Analytical Research of RC and Prestressed Concrete Bridges, Estimation, Performance-Based analysis, Fibre Reinforced Concrete.  Wind, Fire Engineering, Masonry effects.
