Welcome to my webpage. Here you find information mainly about my academic life but also about my consultancy experiences and some other stuff. I am employed at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague as a full professor at the Department of Zoology and Fisheries, Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources. My teaching activities are in areas of aquaculture and ichthyology. My research is focused on fish, sustainable freshwater aquaculture, non-native and invasive aquatic organisms. My laboratory work includes: cytogenetic and molecular genetic methods also partially computer assisted morphometrics. My desk research include risk assesment of invasive species, evaluation of socio-economical aspects of aquaculture and evaluation of management of aquatic environment. On my webpage you can find projects, in which I was or I am still involved, my fieldwork, publications and my CV is also here in short and long version. The webpage is alive and still in the process of building and new stuff will be continuously added.
