Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) was developed by Dolores Cannon, a regressive hypnotherapist who worked with thousands of clients in countries all over the world. Her career spanned over 50 years and included the writing of her many books, in which she generously shared everything she discovered over the years with her clients. Her technique is now taught by her daughter, Julia Cannon, who spent many years co-teaching the course with her mother. An author and practitioner in her own right, Julia is dedicated to continuing her mother’s work, preserving QHHT in its integrity.
Although they will soon be updating their official website, more information on Dolores Cannon and the development of this technique is available here.
QHHT is not a past life reading; as a practitioner, I am not scanning you or working with your unconscious side to give you input that you receive passively. Instead, we work closely together so that your Higher Self is able to speak to you (and me, as facilitator) directly. The hypnosis aspect of QHHT does not bring you down into a dim, vague realm but instead illuminates the state of consciousness where there is much undiscovered information. It is in this state that we work together, focusing on you in a safe, supportive environment. From this position you will be able to cultivate insight into your true nature, actualize potential healing, and receive answers to the primary questions of your current life - which is in fact the most important one; our goal here is to liberate you and help you get the most out of the here and now, allowing you to move forward.
This is the gift of QHHT.
In a QHHT session, we go to “the most appropriate time and place” so that we can ask your heartfelt questions and request healing on all levels. Healing occurs by going to the root cause below discomfort and symptoms, whether physical, emotional or spiritual.
Dolores began with Past Life Regression, and your session will most likely focus on a past life and the lessons you can learn from it. At the same time, it is important to realize that human consciousness is rapidly expanding at this time - which means that you may experience more than, or something different from, a classic past life. It is possible to experience a life in the future, a parallel life, or time on the ‘spirit side,’ (a very industrious place where souls of all natures are busy enjoying life in a way we really don’t consider very often). As more and more people come to understand the transient nature of life on our precious earth - and how much is beyond our small world - it is possible to witness a life in another world and dimension entirely. Whatever comes up is part of your soul’s journey and existence, as you will certainly feel for yourself in the moment. You may have heard the phrase “The veil is thinning” - this means that it is becoming easier and easier for people to see into very unexpected “places.”
Our session relaxes you to the ‘theta’ state. Every person experiences the theta state just before falling asleep (sleep being the ‘delta’ state) and just before waking; how many times we have received wonderful revelations or ideas in this state but then forgotten them! This is where we access your higher self, a part of you with which you are in constant contact, as a matter of fact. However, in the theta state, you will be able to quiet the conscious mind and let the higher self speak. The higher self will answer the questions you bring to the session, as well as conduct healing and clearing of mental and physical conditions.
A QHHT session can last from 4 to 6 hours, though it will feel much shorter to you. The amount of time can vary, but it is essential we take the time to focus on you - exploring your questions, taking note of surprises that may come up and making sure you are fully supported during the process. This is also why repeated sessions are relatively rare: we will be covering a lot!
Your session starts with a conversation. This conversation can go for as long as two hours or more depending on what you want to focus on - and what might come up as we speak. I clarify the questions you have for your higher self because it’s important for me know their significance for you as I converse in detail with your higher self; during hypnosis, you won’t have to explain things to me because we’ll have discussed it already. Think of me as your representative as I ask your questions on your behalf when in the presence of your higher self. The more I know about you and your life, the better I can guide the session.
Please know that absolutely everything said throughout the session is held in the strictest, most respectful confidence, without personal judgment of any kind. Rather, we look to life events and actions as vehicles for learning, always wanting to know what lesson is to be learned.
Next comes the induction, actually entering the hypnotic state. We settle you in a comfortable position lying down, and I take you safely and gently into the trance state. After initial relaxation and some warm-up exercises, we go into the first phase, where you will go to one, possibly two or three past lives (though one is most common and an extremely rich experience). The lives that you go to relate directly to what you want to know from your higher self. They are not random. You will have the experience of being in that life. It is your higher self’s way of teaching you about what you have asked.
While you are under hypnosis I monitor your breath as well as your eye movement beneath your eyelids. You are always safe. I make certain you do not experience anything too emotional on a visceral level. If you witness anything potentially upsetting, I am there to remind you that you always have the choice to observe it like a movie instead of directly experiencing it - the object is to look at anything that comes up so it may be processed and released. In a second phase, I then call in your higher self and ask permission to talk to it directly. You will still be in the theta state. In this conversation you get direct answers and healing. The higher self speaks through you.
This part of the session is kept to one to two hours at most, though there are occasionally exceptions.
Once I bring you up from the trance state and back into the conscious state, we discuss the session - what you remember or do not remember, etc. This is a time of grounding. Just as I listened before the session, I am there for you as you settle back into the ‘here and now’. I am also monitoring you physically to make certain you are fully awake and functioning before you leave. Each person is different, and some need more time than others. This debriefing can be up to 1 hour in length; again, the time is there for us to focus on you - not the clock.
Phases 1 and 2 of the session are recorded; you will receive a digital file of the recording to listen to frequently after our day together. Sometimes the voice becomes faint during hypnosis; in this case, I am able to digitally ‘normalize’ the volume to increase sound and ensure you can extract all the gifts you have discovered for yourself!
The QHHT session itself is in fact a kickstart to the healing and realization process, working on a very subtle level. Answers, healing, validation all come together both during the session and long afterwards. As time passes, more and more benefits present themselves. It is recommended to listen to the session recording often, as it triggers the healing response again. In the days that follow it is important to practice self-care, as the process continues to unfold.
This is the burning question many people bring to the session - and a very important one. It’s also the primary reason to prepare before coming in. I have found many ready-made hypnosis catchphrases out there that are meant to reassure us - but which are in fact not always helpful. Many people who find relaxation challenging are told to “let go,” and that their “ego is in the way” . . . followed by an unhelpful silence. This is rather like a teacher saying, Well, I guess you don’t understand the lesson, Johnny! and walking away. For this reason, we take our time to talk and focus on you, as mentioned above. We want the conscious mind to feel safe enough to take a much-needed break. And it always does, most willingly!
When practicing meditation or self-hypnosis with a recording, many people either fall asleep or - on the other end of the spectrum - interrupt the experience because of something that needs doing, etc. That’s where I come in again. During our session, you will not fall asleep, because I am prepared with your questions; you will also not get up suddenly to do some vacuuming or answer that email!
You may have heard the phrase, All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. This is quite true - you are in control throughout the QHHT session, and we work together to make sure the highest and deepest part of yourself is able to speak. However, it does not mean that you are supposed to know some magical secret only others have. It also does not mean I leave you hanging, should you find yourself becoming analytical or skeptical during the session. I accompany you throughout the process regardless of what comes up.
I welcome you to bring any hypnosis-related questions up during our talk - anything that will help you feel at ease is invaluable to this process.
Nowadays it is all too easy to criticize the ego/conscious mind as being somehow less important than the unconscious, and higher realms of being. There is a lot of talk about releasing the ego, escaping the ego, etc. Those of us who have practiced this release of the ego know it is a very tricky process at times. And those of us who haven’t ever really given much thought to the question have nothing to fear. During the session, we do not reject or deride the ego; after all, the ego is very hard-working and does a lot of underestimated work for us - above all, no matter what our path has been, we all come to realize that an insulted ego is very hard to negotiate with!
Rather, we know the conscious mind is there; it has the option to leave altogether for the present, taking a well-deserved rest, or hang back and listen in. It doesn’t interfere and retreats easily upon kind request if it does try to offer analysis, objections or input. You may or may not remember your session consciously during the time we spend together (either way works quite well), but you can be sure that if the conscious mind/ego is reassured of its importance, feels appreciated - and is given a place on the far, far periphery of this process - everything flows much more smoothly. Overall, this approach helps validate the entire healing process for you, helping you assimilate the layers of your experience much more peacefully in the days that follow your session.
Watch a wonderful explanation of the new role of the conscious mind in qhht sessions!
Preparation for a session begins from the moment you seriously contemplate scheduling an appointment; when your date is set, the process intensifies in your ordinary life. The stage is set!
Below this text are two lists of questions to consider before our meeting - some are needed by me as facilitator, while others are to help you create the personal questions you will bring. My questions focus on specific details, such as the cast of characters in your life (including which ones you are interested in knowing if you've had past lives with); what you do for work; health issues you are curious about and want healed. There may be some overlap between your questions and mine, and of course that is fine. Think big—what are all the questions you've always wanted to ask?
Your list of questions and concerns is a central part of your session; of course, they can be modified when we meet. Neatly hand write the list or print it so I can easily read them during the session. You will be giving me this list, so it would be a good idea to leave space between each question for my notes as we talk over everything you would like to know. I want to be as thorough as possible for you! You will take the list back with you after our session.
It is a good idea to put these questions and concerns in the order of importance. Some people have one question or issue of concern, while others have dozens. It really does not matter how many you come up with as long as you can prioritize them.
I personally have found it very helpful to work with the many past-life regression recordings available. Far from interfering with the process, I have been able to experiment with helping my ego/conscious mind either take a long vacation far away or come along for the ride (quietly, in the back seat). These recordings sensitized me to the kind of language and cues with which I resonate, and which don’t appeal to me. I took notes after each of these practice sessions, and it has boosted what I’ve learned on my own path.
Another transforming exercise for you to consider is to journal, noting things coming up in your life as you first began considering a QHHT session - perhaps looking it up, making the choice to do it - and what transpires between scheduling the appointment and arriving for the session. Synchronicities start to happen, and I’d like to talk a bit about these experiences in our pre-session. When you reflect back and see how it all lined up, you can see the subconscious/higher self already at work on your behalf.
Sometimes people are anxious about what might come up during their session. A good way to avoid this is to bear in mind that your higher self does not share information before you are able to face and process it. It shares what is right and appropriate for you in your current life because it is the most important of all your various lives. You will be not be trapped in old patterns simply because you may witness them, or be told information that will upend your life. You may be offered some lessons or information that will take time to accept or assimilate, perhaps even some radical changes, but rest assured your higher self will only share it because the time is right. If the information/healing is not for you at this time, your higher self will let you know.
This can be a loaded subject for people since not visualizing is considered a sign that ‘nothing is happening’. First, that is not true - the mind has many avenues of communication for us, such as emotions, thoughts, even smells and physical sensations. We very often miss messages from the higher self because we are obsessed with receiving visual communication. Second, if you would like to strengthen this ability, I suggest you do so in a playful way. Just as we often do for babies and small children, you can practice narrating what you are doing at any given moment. “There are three pencils on the table . . . they are all yellow, except for the red one, which has a blue eraser . . .” Any ordinary thing will serve. Another playful way is to look at something in the physical world and pretend you are visualizing it - this works very well with nature, such as clouds and trees, etc. Again, it’s a way to soften around this issue; there is no reason to assume it is essential to process.
Another great way to practice is to remember a day in your life - a typical day at work, perhaps, or a special day you’ve experienced. This lowers the stakes as far as knowing the remembered day is “real” - and permits you to develop the skill of sheer inner noticing.
Another thing to practice is the noticing of non-visual information. We can close our eyes, not seeking at all to visualize, and focus on everything our other senses. This will help us notice just how much more we are being given - and not appreciating, since we are often over-emphasizing only inner “sight”.
It is a good idea to pay attention to your dreams before your appointment, writing them down if possible, or speaking them aloud. They are messages for you and can help with your session. If you never remember your dreams, not to worry - I invite you to choose a different avenue of preparation if you think you would like to practice. If you do not already meditate, it's a good time to start. If that doesn’t sound like you, give yourself quiet time daily to relax your mind.
Rather than focusing on doubt, I prefer to help you know what it may feel like when the session is underway. You may feel as though you are completely in another time and place, even in a place where life forms and life itself look and feel very different - this may be a completely absorbing experience into which you have simply landed.
You may feel as though you are completely conscious and seeing a dream you think you are fabricating but which is coming to you very naturally; often in this case, the more you focus on the ‘dream,’ the more actually appears (e.g., houses get larger or more detailed, faces come into focus, certain objects or images appear more distinctly). More and more advanced practitioners are reporting that many people remember their sessions and feel conscious or semi-conscious during hypnosis. This is a new development in consciousness and not a warning sign.
You may “sense” thoughts and ideas. Your images may be shadowy or mostly colors; they may also come in the form of smells or tactile sensations. It is extremely important to recognize that your experience might be very different from what is often described as the classic experience. You may also be surprised by this particular modality bringing out a new way of knowing for you; for example, someone who is used to being quite auditory might receive physical sensations first (or instead) during the session.
Please note! People - myself included - often report that instead of “really going under” they see images from movies, videos or inner pictures they’ve developed from reading or otherwise acquiring general knowledge about the world. Please know this is not the conscious mind blocking us - unless we mistakenly focus on the fear that we are making things up. I was very excited to find that these pre-acquired images are really a doorway within the conscious ego-mind; all we need do from there is focus on the content of what we are seeing - the scene itself. We will notice that this seemingly fixed scene broadens like a movie: we’re in! As I said above, an ego that feels useful is a caring, loving, surprisingly flexible ego!
Above all, it is very subtle; hypnosis is not a dark, confusing state but one in which your attention is completely relaxed and lucid at the same time. The lights in my office are turned down, but your spirit is bright!
How all-engulfing expectations are! Many of us know it is important to release expectations, but they often come rushing back to us. It is best to arrive at your session with flexible expectations releasing the need for a particular outcome; being open to whatever comes up in the session is the best approach. Here again, we remember that the higher self sees farther than we do and is always more loving and caring towards us than we consciously know how to be. Just as we thank and appreciate the ego for its care, so do we kindly acknowledge expectations - all the while remaining open to possibilities that may turn out very unexpectedly.
Similar to what was said above about not receiving information or healings before it is appropriate, one good way to avoid potential disappointment is to ask your higher self to help you be ready for what you are seeking. Your higher self will - either before, during the session or afterwards, indirectly - point you in the right direction. No door is closed permanently, and the right help is always available at the right time.
There is nothing too mundane or grand for the higher self/subconscious. When you set up your appointment, I will send you a model list to support your own thought process.
The following is a list of questions that are important for me. Bring a printed copy with you to your session.
(You can copy this document and paste it into the body of an email to me to enable you to type right into these questions if you wish.)
1. Name 2. Address 3. Phone number
4. Email
5. Birth Date and Year
6. QHHT Session Date
7. Have you been hypnotized before?
8. If so, what was your experience?
9. What is the main reason you wanted to see me?
10. What do you do for work?
11. What are the names and relationships of the important people in your life?
12. Which ones are you curious about being with in a past life?
13. What do you want to ask your Higher Self?
14. Do you have any ailments that you want to have healed?
(Please answer these specific questions a, b, c, and d; once PER ailment)
a. Where in the body are they? What are the symptoms? Do you experience discomfort?
b. What does this ailment/pain inhibit you from doing?
c. How long have you had it?
d. Is it considered genetic; is it the result of an accident? Did it seem to come out of nowhere?
Example questions to further guide you:
The general rule is to ask personal questions or keep topics related to your personal life. Here are a few examples:
“I have had asthma since birth. Why? Can it be healed?”
“I am in a new love relationship. Is this person the right one for me?”
“I really dislike my job and would like to quit and find a new one. Should I?”
“I have a difficult relationship with my sister. Why is this so and can it be resolved?”
“Many years ago I had something strange happen to me. (This could be a dream, vision, feeling, or other kind of experience) What exactly happened, and why?”
“I have a lifelong interest in ________ can we explore this in depth?”
“Am I on my right spiritual path?”
“Can I improve my intuitive or psychic skills? How?”
“How can I create more peace or balance or abundance in my life?”
Don't worry if you have a short list - or a long one. Feel free to adapt the ones you see above.
It's so important to keep this commitment in mind as you plan your session. Guesswork when it comes to money can cloud your experience, so I like to be as straightforward as possible in this arena.
The financial commitment for a session is currently $200. Some people wonder if they should still pay this fee even if they feel the session has not fulfilled their expectations. It's important to bear in mind that the fee is for the session itself, whether it be longer or shorter than anticipated, or if hoped-for results don't seem immediately apparent. Clarity on this point facilitates healing itself by removing ambiguity and placing process and unfoldment above short-term or even immediate desires.
Another price to consider is your own time and commitment - since a session takes the better part of a day, it is best to consider how you will arrange your time. When you are with me, I only look at the time to help your session flow at just the right pace. Never as a way to get you out the door!
I have been very fortunate to work with wonderful people!
“Kalliopy creates a safe, inviting and comfortable environment where true healing can take place. This was my first QHHT experience and it has exceeded my expectations, before, during and after. Kalliopy provides thorough details about the process and takes her time to gather information, as a way to ensure that while you are “under.” She is able to ensure safe transitioning.
Since my experience, my knee pain has subsided. Over the past few weeks, I have experienced lucid dreaming where I have been able to resolve past relationship issues; I have more clarity regarding future endeavors and I have an increased sense of personal empowerment.”

My session with Kalliopy was nothing short of remarkable!
Through her guidance, she unlocked the ability within myself to see into the layers of my soul’s journey. Kalliopy has the remarkable gift of connecting intelligence and empathetic understanding. Her mastery revealed a timeline that allows one to be able to tune-in to the core being of the timeless self.
Voila! Focus and clarity are unavoidable lingering outcomes.
After all, who isn’t afraid of being who they really are?
This process is something I absolutely would recommend to… all of you!
