Water in Dabbe waterfall produces great sound while falling. Locals refer to the falls by its other name e, “Kepjoga”. The waterfall is endowed with its own flow. It also contributes to the the back water of Linganamakki.
Location
Dabbe waterfall is located near a place called Hosagadde in Sagara taluk of Shimoga district in Karnataka state. It is located at 14°8’52″N 74°44’40″E coordinates.
INTRODUCTION
Situated in the Amsoi Hills in Morigaon District of Assam, this is an enchanting waterfall. The falls is surrounded with dense forests mostly of Assam teak trees and Sal trees. The water gushes down in to a pool at the bottom after flowing over a series of rock projections. The falls can be viewed either from a bridge above the falls or from the banks of the pool.

- Kholakat Reserve Forest: Located in the southern part of Amsoi, this reserve forest has wild elephants, deer, bear, monkeys and other animals. There are birds and reptiles also in the forest. The forest is also known for medicinal herbs, plants and trees.
- Mayang: This is a small town near Moregaon. People believe in sorcery and it had been practiced since ancient times.
- Pabitora Wild Life Sanctuary: It is believed that the forest was named after Pabitora the daughter of King Mayang. In 1987 the
- forest was declared a wild life sanctuary. The forest is inhabited by the one horned rhinoceros which is on the verge of extinction. The sanctuary is also visited by more than 2000 varieties of migratory birds apart from other animals and reptiles that are also inhabitants.
- Sita Jakhala: A popular ancient temple on the banks of River Killing. This temple houses the idols of Goddess Sita and Lord Hanuman. It is believed that the great sage Valmiki constructed the stone steps leading to the river from the temple for Goddess Sita and these stone steps came to be called Sita Jakhala.
- Deosal: The village is located in the Pabitora Wild Life Sanctuary. The locals believe that the village was an ashram of Maharishi Valmiki. When Lord Rama abandoned Goddess Sita when she was pregnant, it is believed that she stayed in the ashram. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the premise and during Mahashivratri, there is a big festival organized in the temple.
