EJSS students who register for ANY EVENT in the Kalinga Dash can ask their family and friends to sponsor them for completing the event. All of the money raised will go to the Eagle Junction State School P&C Association, to fund facility and educational improvements for the benefit of all children attending that school.
As a fundraising initiative, we have developed a program called the EJ CHALLENGE, which will give the children THREE ways to get involved:
1. The Physical Challenge
Every student that completes a 2.0km distance event will receive an official race number, Kalinga Dash frisbee and special finishers' medal to commemorate the event.
Children that complete the longer distances will receive an official race number, Kalinga Dash running shirt and special finishers' medal to commemorate the event.
2. The Class Participation Challenge
The class that ENTERS the highest number of students (as a percentage) will receive a pizza party at school.
Each class also comes up with a class name and theme, and children can dress up in that theme if they wish.
3. The Individual Fundraising Challenge
The student who raises the most money through sponsorship will receive a fabulous prize. Second and third highest will also receive a prize.
All money donated by sponsors is TAX DEDUCTIBLE!

EJSS students will therefore be directly involved in raising money for their school and will be able to feel proud about their efforts , while at the same time participating in a healthy, fun event with their family, friends and classmates.
The EJ CHALLENGE is all about PARTICIPATION - not about winning or losing. Every child who participates and gets involved will be an
EJ CHAMPION!
